│Continuous improvement of infrastructure for the transportation disadvantaged in public transportation frequently used in daily life│
Enhancing the safety of boarding and disembarking by securing ‘one station, one route’ in all subways and expanding automatic safety step
- Building and improving the infrastructure of platforms that can travel all routes on a single ride to the ground ↔ waiting room ↔ platform for consideration of the weak in traffic
※ 1History 1History 1History 1History Concept |
"A history in which the weak can use the subway on a single route (ground ↔ waiting room ↔ platform) using the elevator." |
- Expanding the installation of foldable automatic safety steps to improve train safety, including preventing tripping accidents

Increased convenience of using assistive devices such as wheelchairs by expanding the introduction of low-floor buses and taxis for the disabled
- (Low-floor buses) Promoting introduction on all routes except routes where operation is not possible due to narrow road width, steep slopes, etc.
- (Taxi for the disabled) Continuously securing the number of vehicles in operation and securing drivers
│Strengthening the integration of transportation-disadvantaged service platforms and customized support through Seoul Companion Map│
Customized route guidance, including information on inconveniences in the surrounding pedestrian environment and optimal routes to boarding facilities
- For wheelchair users, guide the route to avoid environments with steps of 2 cm or more, slopes of 1/8 or more (approximately 12 degrees), and sidewalk widths of 1.2 m or less, and guide the route to include subway elevators as a priority for the mobility-impaired.
User location-based real-time low-floor bus reservation service
- When a user reserves a route and boarding/disembarking stop through the app and arrives within 50m of the stop, the reservation information is transmitted to the bus, and the bus makes advance announcements (voice and LED) and begins preparations such as installing a wheelchair lift before stopping.
Providing information on subway station facility use, transfer section, and location-based call buttons
- Provides information on various facilities for the transportation disadvantaged within the station, such as the location of elevators for the 1st station and 1st line, the presence of electric wheelchair charging stations, transfer section information (aboveground or underground), and nursing rooms
- Establishes a quick support environment for station staff, such as safety steps and wheelchair lift operation, through a ‘call button’ that allows users to directly call the nearest subway station from their location
Establishing a mutually interconnected environment between each platform for integrated use of similar services for the transportation disadvantaged, such as disabled call taxis and mom and dad taxis
